About the Ride

The Sandringham Charity Horse Ride was first established in 2002 and is held bi-annually in May and October. All proceeds are donated. To date the rides have raised a total of £100,912 and is split between a number of worthy charitable causes.

The ride covers 5, 8 or 10 miles (appx) through the most beautiful private woodland and tracks and is only made possible by the kind permission of Her Majesty the Queen.

Because the Sandringham Estate is a working estate, both the route and distances may change without notice.

The ride, in its entirety, is organised by Mrs Anne Holt. There is no committee and so we ask that you have patience on any follow ups.

Mrs Holt would like to personally thank the following who make these days possible:

  • Her Majesty the Queen
  • Raynet (for radio cover)
  • Lynx Bus
  • St John’s Ambulance
  • Norfolk Event Medical Services
  • The ‘on the day’ volunteers
  • The Suppliers

And the biggest thank you to All Riders who make this event a most memorable occasion.
